Changes to our fulfilment policies for spring and summer 2020
Despite the continued uncertainty due to the COVID-19 pandemic and cross-country school closures, Let’s Talk Science is happy to be able to support educators and parents/guardians by continuing to deliver Tomatosphere™ seeds to those who want them.
If you are interested in participating in the project with your students (virtually) or with the learners in your life, please place an order on our website. Teachers can also encourage parents/guardians to order seeds. Ordering instructions for parents can be found in the FAQ section. We are currently filling orders once a week to ensure prompt delivery.
However, the current situation and disruptions to our supply chain have forced us to change our fulfilment policies. From now until schools reopen, we will not be shipping seeds to school that are closed. Furthermore, we will only ship one set of seeds per order. This means that even if you are ordering for students in 6 classrooms, you will only receive one set of seeds. These new policies do not apply to Quebec or British Columbia as classes have resumed in these provinces.
Please note: If ordering after June 1st, you may not have time to complete the experiment with your students before the end of the school year.
If you are an educator and are planning on distributing seed sets to your colleagues, please contact the program coordinator to make alternate arrangements or get each educator to place their own order on the website. You can contact the Program Coordinator, Nicole St-Cyr, at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 1-877-474-4081 ext. 268.
We will continue to fill all the orders we receive until we run out of seeds.
Fall Ordering is Now Open
We have opened the fall order form early to help you plan for next semester. If you would like to participate in the Tomatosphere™ experiment in the fall term, please select “Fall 2020” from the drop-down below. We anticipate that schools will be operating as normal in September so we will collect orders as normal with no seed set limit. We plan to mail the seeds at the end of August 2020 but will continue to monitor the situation and will notify those who order of any changes.
